

CST represents the official development agencies of the Catholic Church in England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland. In Ethiopia, CST works to reduce poverty, promote development, and respond to humanitarian emergencies.
APCfC has partnered with CST since 2014, starting with peacebuilding in Borana Zone. Currently, we collaborate on protection, humanitarian response, and women’s empowerment in Moyale and Dire.
GIZ-Civil Peace Service, Commissioned by German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) is currently working in Ethiopia with the overall aim to promote Trust-based cooperation between the various population groups, traditional authorities, government representatives and non-governmental organizations in Oromia and along its borders is helping to deal with conflicts over land and resources without resorting to violence. APCfC has been partnered with GIZ-CPS since 2011 and closely collaborated on local pastoralist community dispute resolution and peace building sector.
DanChurchAid is focused on working with women-led organizations, with the goal to provide an economic and political voice to the world’s poorest women. In the fields of human rights and climate justice, DanChurchAid pursues progressive advocacy with ambitious efforts trying to get politicians to make decisions that combat the structural inequality between rich and poor societies, as well as between the sexes. APCfC has been partnered with DCA since 2023 around local peace building and humanitarian response.
Pastoralist Forum Ethiopia (PFE) was established in 1998. The Forum has over 25 local CSO member organizations working in pastoral areas. PFE aspires to see empowered pastoralist enjoying sustainable development. PFE’s mission is to bring positive changes in the livelihood of pastoralist through pastoral capacity building, empowerment, commercialization and entrepreneurship in Ethiopia.
The Ethiopian Humanitarian National CSOs Forum (EHNCF) is an independent and inclusive national platform established in the fourth quarter of 2024, following consultations with selected executive directors of local civil society organizations (CSOs). Officially registered on March 6, 2025, EHNCF was created to advance the humanitarian localization agenda in Ethiopia. With a current membership of over 63 local CSOs from across the country, the Forum provides a collaborative platform for strategic representation, advocacy, capacity sharing, joint planning, and collective action.
The congress aims to prioritize the engagement of Africa’s Indigenous People and Local Communities (IPLCs) in policy arenas relevant to their land, territories and conservation. It focuses on four interlocking priority areas, which include establishing and operationalizing a Pan-African IPLC body, advocating for IPLCs’ rights and representation, putting people at the center of conservation efforts, and promoting inclusive governance and the economic value of conserved areas for IPLCs.
Pastoralist Initiative Development Aid (PIDA) is a registered national NGO in Ethiopia with charity No:4305/July 2019.Its mission is to empower and enhance south-eastern Ethiopia pastoralist communities’ resilience to poverty shocks, climate extremes and their impacts through secured livelihoods, access to affordable quality Education, Child and health care services. APCfC is partnered with PIDA since 2024 jointly implementing a community peace building in Moyale.
