“We empower communities to lead their own change”
Our Plans
APCfC works closely with pastoralist communities to co‑create solutions that strengthen livelihoods, protect natural resources, and build resilience to a changing climate. Every initiative begins with listening: through open consultations with pastoralists, traditional leaders, women, and youth, we identify the challenges that matter most. These insights, combined with local data and field assessments, guide the design of programs that are practical, relevant, and community owned. Planning and decision‑making remain in the hands of local committees and women’s groups, ensuring that solutions reflect lived experience and local knowledge. Throughout implementation, APCfC continually learns, monitors progress and adapts its approach—ensuring long-term sustainability and meaningful impact for the communities we serve.
APCfC operates in a complex and dynamic environment in which current and emerging trends present potential opportunities as well as challenges to the organization’s ability to carry out its mission equally as the several noteworthy strengths and vulnerabilities within the organization’s internal landscape influences its operational capability and commitment. Therefore, APCfC prepares its five years strategic plan for sharpening its focus and preparing for the future.
Our Reports
APCfC has a structured, transparent, and evidence‑based reporting process designed to ensure accountability to communities, partners, and donors. Our reporting reflects both the progress achieved and the challenges encountered across all program areas. It is built on continuous data collection, community feedback, and collaborative validation to ensure that reports accurately represent realities on the ground. The process begins with regular field-level monitoring, during which project staff gather quantitative and qualitative data through community consultations, site visits, review of activity records, and discussions with local committees and women’s groups. This information is complemented by insights from traditional institutions, government offices, and partner organizations to provide a full picture of program performance.
Once data is collected, APCfC engages in structured analysis and reflection. Program teams review results against planned outputs and outcomes, identify gaps, and document lessons learned. Community feedback plays an essential role in shaping the narrative, ensuring that reports highlight local perspectives, evolving needs, and emerging opportunities.
Draft reports are then prepared by the program team and reviewed internally to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with donor requirements. This includes financial reporting, results tracking, narrative summaries, case stories, and documentation of challenges and adaptations. Reports also incorporate monitoring findings, gender-disaggregated data, environmental considerations, and progress on cross‑cutting commitments such as safeguarding and inclusion.
The final reports are validated through team discussions and shared with partners and donors to demonstrate progress, accountability, and learning. This rigorous process ensures that APCfC’s reporting is comprehensive, transparent, and reliable—supporting stronger program design, informed decision‑making, and continuous improvement across all interventions.
