APCfC excited to share the successful completion of a capacity-building training for 30 women leaders from Liban Woreda, East Borana Zone. The training was held in Hawassa, at Central Yemisrach Hotel, and was made possible with support from GIZ Civil Peace Service Ethiopia. During the session, participants strengthened their skills in mediation, dialogue, and community-based conflict early-warning and response mechanisms. As a result, these women are now better equipped to support peaceful solutions, foster local cooperation, and take active roles in community decision-making. This initiative not only boosts women’s leadership but also promotes peacebuilding, conflict prevention, and community resilience across the region. By investing in women, we pave the way for stronger and more inclusive local governance.
